DALLAS, TX, December 17, 2013 - Grande Communications, the Texas-based broadband communications company that offers Internet, TV and phone services, has donated an Internet upgrade to the Little Elm Public Library's computer lab. Patrons who visit the library now have access to Internet speeds up to 80 Megabits per second (Mbps), an increase from the previous rate of four Mbps.

After years of providing voice and data services to the town of Little Elm, Grande and the library forged a multiyear partnership that resulted in an increased bandwidth in the computer lab at no cost to the town. The donation shows Grande's ongoing dedication to helping local residents and businesses, and it strengthens the sense of community and connectivity within the neighborhoods Grande services. "We value our long-standing relationship with the town of Little Elm and are proud to have another way to show our appreciation of their business by donating the fastest and most reliable Internet service in town to the library," said Jerry Horne, Grande Communications Dallas general manager.

"We look forward to many years of working together to make our community thrive." The donation is saving Little Elm significant dollars, and at the same time, helping us provide top-tier service to our members. It also demonstrates Grande's commitment to the community. In my opinion, this is one of those true win-win situations," said Spencer Smith, library director. The partnership is commemorated with a donated 3-by-6-foot sign in the computer lab, designating Grande as the provider of high-speed data services. Grande Communications employees recently presented the Town of Little Elm's Santa Elves Program with a check for $1,600 of employee-funded donations at the Little Elm Public Library computer lab.
