DALLAS, TX, December 20, 2013 - Grande Communications, a Texas-based broadband communications company that offers Internet, TV and phone services, announced today that its Grande Cares Club has donated over $14,000 to charitable organizations and events within the Dallas area in 2013. The Grande Cares Club is an employee-based giving program within Grande Communications.

Through this program, Grande employees seek to enhance the communities where they provide service, and where they live, work and play. Across eight Texas cities in over 10 years, the Grande Cares Club has helped distribute over $2 million in the communities it services. "Giving back to the community has been a long-term, committed investment and point of pride for Grande over our past 13 years," said Matt Rohre, vice president of retail operations for Grande Communications. "We have a devoted staff making every effort to serve the needs of our customers, while simultaneously being community impact leaders." The 6th annual Heritage Ranch Scramble for Soldiers golf tournament and the Fall Community Pancake Breakfast were just two of the events that Grande supported this year through its charitable offerings. The Scramble raised money for the military through the Warrior and Family Support Center, and the Breakfast supported Friends of Fairview Firefighters Association. Grande's philanthropic efforts have also made a positive impact throughout the Dallas-area community.

In late September, Grande hosted movie night at the Ballpark where over 400 people including Grande employees, families and friends enjoyed a free movie screening and live entertainment at Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco, Texas. "Grande is proud to have such dedicated employees committed to serving our customers as well as our local community in ways that make Dallas a better place to live and work," added Rohre. Additional organizations that were beneficiaries to Grande's giving this year include Children's Advocacy Center of Collin County, Special Abilities of North Texas (formerly Day Stay for Adults), Denton County Friends of the Family, Boys & Girls Clubs of Collin County and North Central Texas, Denton County MHMR Center's Holiday Helping Hands, and Little Elm's Santa's Elves.
