SAN MARCOS, TX, July 30, 2013 - Grande Communications, IMG College and the University of Texas Athletics program, have announced today a multi-year sponsorship agreement designating Grande as the Exclusive Cable Provider of Texas Athletics.

"We are thrilled to expand our support for the University of Texas and are proud to become the Exclusive Cable Provider for Texas Athletics," said Matt Murphy, President of Grande Communications. "Grande has long been committed as a partner for the University of Texas by providing cable service to campus dormitories and as the first provider in Austin and our other Texas markets of Longhorn Network. As the only local Texas based provider to our markets, we are excited to deepen our relationship with the University, its students and loyal alumni."

The agreement was brokered and will be managed by IMG College, UT Athletics' multimedia rights holder. It grants Grande sponsorship and promotional rights spanning print, digital and radio through the 2013-2016 athletic seasons. The agreement also includes a sponsorship of UT's Neighborhood Longhorns Program (NLP), an official outreach program of the University. The NLP operates as an incentive-based learning program that helps more than 5,500 fifth through eighth grade students in Austin Independent School District Title 1 schools build a strong academic future through mentoring, after-school reading programs and academics-incentivized awards programs. Additionally, all Texas Athletics' facilities will have Grande's cable services.

"We are grateful to Grande Communications for this sponsorship and service component," said Texas Men's Athletic Director DeLoss Dodds. "Grande is a company founded here in Austin and one that has served our campus for many years."

"Grande's decision early on for carriage of Longhorn Network was a tremendous boost for Texas Athletics and our entire University community," said Texas Women's Athletic Director Chris Plonsky. "We appreciate being able to see LHN and all other channels within our facilities."

Grande Communications was the first cable TV provider in Austin to carry Longhorn Network (LHN) when the 24-hour network dedicated to Texas Athletics launched in 2011.
