Sr. VP Operations/General Manager
C. Matthew Rohre
Matt is responsible for strategy, business development, fulfillment, and operations for the company. He provides management for technical and business operations, sales operations, front office operations, marketing, community relations and government affairs. Matt has more than 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry in a wide variety of senior management and technical roles, both as a service provider and a vendor. Prior to Grande, he spent time with Marconi, AT&T Broadband, TCI and Telecable. Matt currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Midway ISD Education Foundation and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Dallas.
Mark is responsible for the overall financial operations of the company. He brings more than 20 years of financial operations experience in the telecommunications industry. Prior to joining Grande Communications Mark was the director, VP of the Sprint/Nextel Prepaid Group. For the eight years prior to joining Sprint/Nextel, he held various roles including VP Financial Operations at Virgin Mobile USA LLC and joined Sprint/Nextel when Virgin Mobile was acquired by Sprint in November, 2009. Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Montclair State University.
VP Network Operations and Engineering
Lamar has architected, launched and operated large Internet, video, telephony and transport networks and services during his 13 years in the industry. With his experience in the residential, commercial and wholesale communications environments, he brings a unique perspective to problem solving through technology and process. Prior to Grande Communications, Lamar contributed to other network providers such as Broadwing, PointOne and Dantis in various engineering and leadership roles. Lamar has also spent time as a Systems Engineer with Ethernet Switching and Routing manufacturer Riverstone Networks. His experience with Riverstone allowed him to understand the dynamics of working with Service Providers from a solutions platform perspective. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology from DeVry University in Dallas, TX.
VP Human Resources
Tracy has over 19 years of HR experience in the technology and telecommunications industries. Before joining Grande in April 2002, she managed human resources for the avionics division of Trimble Navigation, a leading provider in advanced positioning systems. Before Trimble, Tracy held various Human Resources roles with Verticom Inc. and MicroElectronic Products. Tracy received her certificate in Human Resource Management from Sonoma State University, earned her Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) credentials through World at Work, and her Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation from Society for Human Resources Management.
VP Customer Care
Dawn joins us from Florida where she directed the Atlantic Broadband Call Center. She entered the cable industry in 1996 with Comcast, and then she expanded her call center management experience with Charter Communications. Working from the ground up in the business has given Dawn the ability to relate to the everyday experiences faced in a call center environment, specifically with cable related products. She is most passionate about the growth and development of individuals, which together create a successful and rewarding team. She volunteers as an elementary classroom reading buddy and for animal rescue organizations.
VP Network Services
James brings over 17 years of experience in the Telecommunications industry. He is responsible for the planning, implementation and cost management of Grande's network. Prior to joining Grande in 2000, James served as Director of Product Development for Thrifty Call as well as various product management roles at ALLTEL Communications. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Arkansas Tech University and his MBA from the University of Arkansas.
Charles has over 15 years of experience in the telecommunications industry with an extensive consumer marketing background managing growth in the high-speed internet and video service sector. Charles is responsible for all aspects of product management, marketing and corporate communications. Prior to Grande, Charles held a number of positions at AT&T in call center management, consumer marketing, product development and sales operations. Charles is a native Texan and an avid golfer. He attended The University of Texas at San Antonio on a golf scholarship while obtaining his undergraduate degree in business management, where he later returned to acquire his executive MBA degree.
VP Field Operations
Jerry L. Horne
Jerry is responsible for managing field and front counter operations for all Grande markets. He brings over 30 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. In 1984, Jerry started his career as a cable splicing technician and worked his way up learning various trades in the industry. Prior to joining Grande, Jerry spent 25 years as part of the leadership team for Verizon Communications earning him a prestigious leadership award in 2006. His extensive background includes video, telephony, operations, construction, process implementation and the ability to deliver results. Jerry attended both Angelo State University and the University of Phoenix, and enjoys golfing in his spare time.
