April 25, 2014 — San Marcos-based Grande Communications Inc. has cut a deal that will allow it to bring Netflix programming to its cable subscribers. Grande has joined with Atlantic Broadband and RCN in a partnership with Netflix Inc. that will allow the Netflix App to be integrated into the TiVo service along with Live TV, On Demand and other web content. “Now, watching Netflix is as easy as changing the channel,” says David Isenberg, chief marketing and strategy officer, Atlantic Broadband. This “game-changing relationship” will make more choices available for viewers on a single device, adds Jim Holanda, CEO at RCN and Grande. “The ability to seamlessly deliver new volumes of entertainment through industry leaders Netflix and TiVo is yet another way we are providing the best in customer convenience and satisfaction.” The new service will be available as early as April 28 with no additional charge to customers who subscribe to the TiVo DVR service through one of the partNer companies.
