DALLAS, TX, October 9, 2013 - Dr Pepper Ballpark was abuzz on a late September evening as families trickled into the stadium. Instead of taking in a baseball game, they were treated to a free screening of "Despicable Me," presented by Grande Communications.
The broadband communications company, which provides Internet, TV, and phone service to communities throughout the Dallas area, hosted the movie night at the Ballpark before a crowd of 400 made up of employees, customers, and friends in the community. In the weeks leading up to the event, guests were able to cast their vote for which movie would be shown. The evening also included free popcorn and soda, live entertainment, a bounce house, and more, for kids of all ages.
It was the fourth year that Grande has hosted a movie night at the home of the RoughRiders. Last year's screening of "The Incredibles" drew a crowd of 200.
