GRANDE ALLOWS YOU TO USE YOUR OWN MODEM
Important: If you have a Grande receiver powered by TiVo, then you must have a Grande modem.
WHY CAN’T CUSTOMERS WITH RECEIVERS POWERED BY TIVO USE THEIR OWN MODEM?
Customers must use a Grande modem if they have one or more Grande receivers powered by TiVo. Because TiVo receivers provided by Grande depend on the internet for some of their basic functions, we can't guarantee those will operate properly if a third party device is involved in their connections.
