Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Tier! 65Mbps is PLENTY fast! I have a hard time reaching the full potential of this connection from most sites. I really wish that grande would create a new tier; I would love to have one with a fast upload speed. I travel quite abit and stream everything from my home PC. I would upgrade the next speed package if they would only upgrade the upload speed. So, great product, I just wish they provided more options. Even the business class speeds leave a bit to be desired with the upload speeds. June 6, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Customer service and price make up for constant gaps in service I just moved my home and office to a neighborhood not serviced by my old carrier and I did not want to go with the local cable company which has TERRIBLE reviews and customer service so I was grateful to find Grande a TX company. They are very accessible and easy to talk with but I do get intermittent service for a few seconds an hour which makes me loose work as I am on a shared database over the internet. If you are just streaming on surfing you will be very happy with the speed! March 26, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Service The package I received was an incredible price. Grande is way better than Time Warner. Their customer service and installers are much better and more attentive. Only downside is the upload rate is still low. Grande, please start laying some fiber so upload/download can be 1 to 1. December 17, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Service, Could Be Better This service works as advertised. The Down will peak out at just over the 65Mbps at 68Mbps. The Up is consistently at 5Mbps. I was afraid we would have problems switching from the previous plan and equipment. My installation is different than a typical installation and we have had problems getting my two public IP addresses to work properly in the past. But, the installer came and switched out the equipment and it just worked! Amazing!! I previously used the 16Mbps/1.5Mbps service. I upgraded to get the faster Up rate. I wish Grande would consider offering symmetric plans in addition to the asymmetric ones. A 25/25 or 30/30 plan like the provider my step son offers seems to be about perfect. November 27, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by peak hours beware I ran some test and found out that the peak hours are not going as planned. I'm getting around 30.0 during the day. Now at night I get what was stated of 65.00. November 19, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by nice download, upload doesn't meet spec The download speed on this tier is great and very consistent. The upload rarely hits the stated 5Mbps, I typically see the same upload speed as I did on the 3Mbps upload tier. I do occasionally see 5Mbps but it isn't consistent at all (2-3 is avg). I am testing with Grande's speed test on their site. Great value as well, but I would like to see them discount the modem rental fee or maybe discount the tier to $64.95 to "cover" it. In addition, when is Grande going to start assigning some IPv6 addresses (I know many people don't know what that means)? That being said, Grande is hands down better than TimeWarner.
